Michael Scully '66

Micheal Scully is from the Class of 1966 where he was a member of the Student Council, a running back on the football team, and the captain of the track team. A 1970 graduate of Villanova, he and his brother Jim have grown a family real estate business that specializes in the ownership and management of apartment communities.  

Today the Scully Company owns and/or manages 34 apartment communities in 4 states.  Michael has been recognized as a Philadelphia Real Estate icon by Fortune Magazine.  He served on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Apartment Association for 21 years, and on the Abington Hospital Foundation Board of Directors for 23 years.  He is the past president of the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Institute for the Real Estate Management of the National Association of Realtors and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the National Multi-Housing Council. 

Although a sprinter in high school and college, Michael currently runs in races ranging from 5Ks to half marathons.  He has run 18 half marathons in the last 7 years.  He is an avid golfer and current President of Squires Golf Club. Michael is very proud of having been the head track coach at McDevitt in 1978 and 1979, producing 2 indoor and 1 outdoor Philadelphia Catholic League championship teams.  His teams also produced several school records and a Penn Relay record that held for 13 years. 

He has been married to wife Patricia for 46 and has two daughters, and currently resides in Fort Washington.
