Mission Statement

Our mission is to honor and preserve the history of Bishop McDevitt High School (Wyncote, Pa) which opened in 1958 and closed in 2021. Our main purpose is to hold annual events for alumni and friends of Bishop McDevitt to keep the Lancer spirit alive.  Another goal is the raising of funds to support the following: individuals in need of short term financial assistance, families who choose a Catholic education for their sons and daughters, and other area charities and nonprofits.  Our beloved high school may be closed, but the Royal Lancer spirit will live on through the Friends of Bishop McDevitt.
